I am interested in the application of Ultra-high resolution techniques (e.g. FT-ICR-MS) in metabolomics study.

I found some paper on that (A, B, C), and I was wondering what is your opinion on this techniques.

I am mainly interested in bacterial metabolism, but it seems to me that many studies have been conducted mainly on plant.

Do you have any good read to suggest?

I also major in the metabolomics study. I got a lot material here metabolomics, I hope this can meet your demand.

There has been a lot of great work using FTMS by the Jones group from Emory University. However I'm not convinced high resolution mass spectrometry alone is enough to convincingly demonstrate that a metabolite has been identified.
