The functionality is all there I would just work on building the content (chicken and egg) to get a critical mass of users dropping by.
I've only just discovered this via Istvan's comment on BioStars. Something simple like syndicating the RSS (new questions, tags as hashtags) to Twitter would boost your chances of getting seen.
Would the ability to post anonymously be helpful or harmful? I can think of arguments both ways. I ask because many contributors might not want all their questions or answers to necessarily reflect directly on themselves or their lab.
Thanks for the suggestion. We have been slowing adding more material (intro type stuff) and will be adding some video tutorials. I haven't considered the social media side of things and will explore with Istvan.
Thanks for the interest and please keep the suggestions coming.
Job positions sections, creating Twitter handle, LinkedIn profiles for Metastars, resources to links, database of latest research publications on databases, softwares, resources, programs etc. would be of immense help in popularity.
Maybe it would be helpful also take in some more post on protocols. I am referring to have a kind of repository of standardized protocols (including references) that can be shared in the community. Maybe this would fint in the "SAMPLE" section
